Laura  Schnoor

Dr. Laura Schnoor
Veterinarian

Dr. Laura Schnoor has been a staple of Mid North Animal Hospital since 1991, when she graduated from the University of Illinois. She is interested in soft tissue surgery and loves helping dogs and cats! Outside of work, Dr. Schnoor enjoys gardening, cooking (and boy is she talented!), traveling, reading, and anything associated with a warm, sunny day. She also loves spending time with her rescued Boxer, Hazel, and their three cats. You might catch a peek of Hazel one day as she loves coming to work with her mom and helps keep an eye on all of our patients!

Angela Egan

Dr. Angela Egan
Veterinarian

Dr. Angela Egan joined Mid North Animal Hospital in 2019. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and her doctorate from University of Illinois. She completed her internship in Small Animal Medicine & Surgery from VCA Aurora Animal Hospital and enjoys oncology and emergency medicine. She loves client education and working with our clients to provide their pets the best medical care possible. When not at the hospital, Dr. Egan spends her time with her family, knitting, and exploring different neighborhoods. Her furry family includes Effie and Skeeter, the Shih Tzu twins, Emily, a Bichon/Poodle, and Frankie, a one-eyed Bouvier Des Flan!

Miriam
Hospital Manager

Miriam has been working with us since September 2007. She started as a receptionist and is now our Hospital Manager! She especially enjoys her interactions with clients and winning the affection of nervous or shy pets. Miriam graduated DePaul University summa cum laude with a degree in Women’s and Gender Studies and a minor in African and Black Diaspora Studies. She loves spending time with her fiance and their cats, and when not at work you'll find Miriam enjoying the outdoors, going to concerts, cooking, or relaxing with her feline crew.

Aubrey

Aubrey
Veterinary Technician

Aubrey started in June 2015 at Mid North Animal Hospital as a veterinary assistant and is now one of our veterinary technicians. She is a graduated from UIC where she received a degree in Biological Sciences. She plans on being a veterinarian and is completing her veterinary technician education! Her favorite part of her job is the ever increasing knowledge she is receiving with her hands-on experience with us. She has three cats, K.P, Domino, and Jubilee, as well as a super handsome and spoiled Fennec Fox named Kyuubi. When not at work, you'll find Aubrey making pottery, hanging out with her friends and family, going to the zoo, watching CutThroat Kitchen, knitting, and learning!

Maria

Veterinary Technician

Maria joined our front staff team as a receptionist and veterinary assistant in April 2016 and now she is one of our veterinary technicians! Maria loves learning all aspects of her job, including the different medications and surgeries that pets can receive. She brings with her worldly experience from living overseas and also offers pet-sitting in her free time. She loves spending time with and walking the dogs that she sits for, as well as showcasing her impressive art skills with her drawings, paintings, and encaustics. Maria's cats, Turbo and Mitsou, are fan favorites at the office. You may even see Turbo in one of his outfits on our instagram from time to time!

Clay

Veterinary Assistant/Technician

Clay joined our team of veterinary assistants in January 2020 and brought with him years of veterinary experience! He is the proud father to two kitties, Twinkie and Gatsby. Twinkie is a grumpy orange cat who is the reason Clay got into the veterinary world and every year, Clay and his wife throw Twinkie a birthday party! Gatsby is a newer addition to their family and he happens to be a derpy goofball. When not at work, Clay enjoys going to concerts, playing boardgames, and riding his bicycle year-round.

Jenny

Client Care Coordinator

Jenny joined our staff in May 2019 as a veterinary receptionist. Jenny loves playing with the different dogs at work and getting to know our clients. She has her Bachelors degree in social work and when not at work, Jenny enjoys reading, writing, running, and cosplay.

Betsy

Client Care Coordinator

Betsy joined Mid North Animal Hospital in March 2021 as one of our receptionists. Betsy has over seven years’ experience in the veterinary field, and you can tell because she loves educating clients about pet healthcare and helping pets get quality medical treatment. Betsy also enjoys meeting and getting to know our loyal clientele! Her two cats are Thad and Ludo, both named after characters from movie/TV shows. Outside of her time at Mid North, Betsy enjoys playing Pokémon and collecting all things dinosaurs (she even has a dinosaur print dress!) Betsy’s fun fact about herself is that at one point she had crested geckos, fat-tailed geckos, three fish tanks, and three cats. Can you tell she is cut out for veterinary medicine?!

Kelly

Kelly is one of our receptions and she has been with Mid North Animal Hospital since July of 2021. Kelly loves her job because she enjoys working with both people and animals and working at an animal hospital has given her the knowledge and skills to be an amazing pet parent to her two kitties, especially her senior kitty! Kelly has her bachelor’s degree in Art and Photography and outside of work she enjoys photography, photoshop, reading, and exercising.

Livi

Client Care Coordinator

 

Livi joined our team as one of our receptionists in September 2021 and she is enjoying getting to know her coworkers and all aspects of her job. She obtained her degree from Northwestern University and loves going back to visit Evanston whenever she can! Livi has a lovely, semi-blind kitty named Amelia and outside of work, you can find Livi playing soccer, reading, and listening to music.

Selena

Veterinary Assistant

Selena has been with Mid North Animal Hospital since February 2021 as one of our veterinary assistants and never have we met a person so passionate about animals and their well-being! Selena loves every patient that comes through our doors, and she excels at making our patients feel comfortable and relaxed while in our care. She has an all-black kitty cat named Emmee that she loves spending time with and when not at work or at home, Selena is taking aerial fitness classes, hiking, reading, and adding to her plant collection.

Kristina

Veterinary Assistant

Kristina is one of our veterinary assistants and they joined our team in June 2021. Kristina brings with them years of experience as a dog bather! Kristina is the proud parent to two dogs, Wrigley and Whiley, and a bearded dragon named Friday. Kristina enjoys learning about art and gardening and you can tell they have an artistic flair by their ever-changing hair color!

Shauna

Veterinary Assistant

Shauna has been one of our receptionists/veterinary assistants since August 2013 and she brings great energy with her everyday! She enjoys getting to meet all of the animals and talking to their owners. In fact, she loves being around animals so much that she changed her educational career to focus more on helping them! She and her husband are the proud parents of three Chihuahuas, Chloe (the diva), Chase (the chubba bubba), and Trey (the happy-go-lucky guy).

Lastly, the most important member of our team is Hazel. Hazel was adopted by her mom, Dr. Schnoor, Thanksgiving 2020 and has come to work with her mom every day since. She is an integral member of our team and provides free hugs, kisses, and snuggles whenever we need them. Hazel's favorite activities include snoring, taking walks with her mom, chasing squirrels, and destroying her squeaker toys. When not at work, you'll find Hazel lounging on a sofa or hanging with her kitty housemates.
