Pet Pain Management

No one likes to be in pain or to see someone they love suffer with it. One of the first things we do is to help you know when your pet is in pain. Once we have a diagnosis, we work with you and your pet to find the appropriate way to keep the pain to a minimum.

Pain management is a priority, whether the pain is temporary, after surgery or an injury, or something that is going to be a long-term concern. Our goal is to make your pet as comfortable as possible at all times.

Pain Medications

Many of the medications we give to your pet are the same ones you may be given. These drugs have been tested and passed safety requirements. We do not use unproven drugs for any situation. If one drug is not helping with pain management, we will try a different one, or perhaps a combination of medications, to make your pet comfortable.

Chronic Conditions

Like humans, your pet may develop a disease or condition that keeps him or her in almost constant discomfort. We work hard to find a combination of therapies that help to ease this pain. This may include massage, hydrotherapy, or even physical therapy to keep the joints moving. If the pain is due to a disease such as cancer, we provide you with the medications necessary to give your pet a reasonable quality of life while undergoing treatments to eliminate the cancer.

Laser Therapy

We are excited to provide the most cutting-edge laser therapy. Laser therapy is available for treating problems involving the soft tissues of the body, including:

  • Injuries
  • Wounds
  • Arthritis
  • Neurological conditions
  • Dermatological conditions
  • Pain

Laser therapy is non-invasive, pain free, and carries no risks, making it a great solution for many health problems. Most pets find laser therapy to be relaxing, and look forward to their treatments, much like we would look forward to a good massage.

We know you do not want to see your pet suffering in any way. Our pain management practices are in place to lessen the pain your pet feels, allowing him or her to heal faster.

We treat each pet, and her pain, individually, doing whatever it takes to minimize any suffering and get her back to normal as quickly as possible.

We want your pets to live a pain-free life. Give our team a call to schedule an appointment today.
