Dr. Laura Schnoor: 

Dr. Schnoor has been at Mid North Animal Hospital since her graduation from the University of Illinois in 1991.  Dr. Schnoor has seen Mid North Animal Hospital through 18 years of growth and change.  At work, she enjoys working with both dogs and cats, and is interested in soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Schnoor loves to travel, spend time in the sun gardening and by the pool, spending time with her husband of 10 years, Tony, who she married at sunset in Mexico, and taking care of her animal children:  Sophie (who many of you see when you come in to the office), MJ (a paraplegic cat she has focused her attention on to provide an exceptional quality of life), Damon (her two year old cat), and Mookie and Bernie (her two senior cats).

Dr. Ross Mahowald: 
            Dr Ross joined the Mid North Animal Hospital team in December 2006.   He comes to us from Toledo, where he has practiced for 12 years in a large, 24 hour care facility with an outstanding reputation in the Toledo area.

            Graduating from Ohio State University in 1994, he brings with him several years of experience working with difficult cases in a busy practice.  While Dr. Ross enjoys working on dogs, cats, and small mammals (especially ferrets), he plans on pursuing a specialty certification in feline medicine over the next 2 years.  His special interest areas also include ultrasound, surgery (including laser surgery), and anesthesia.

            Dr. Ross' family includes Kylie, his 3 1/2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog and  his cat, Calbert.   Kylie enjoys coming to work with her dad, and you might get a chance to meet her someday when you come in with your own family member!
